FAQ
Common questions
How do you price a job?
Mainly by volume (how much space it takes in the truck) and weight. Heavy materials like rubble cost more. We always agree the price with you before loading.
Do I need to be there?
Yes — or someone with access who can approve the quote. We need a clear path to the items and a place to park the van.
What can’t you take?
Hazardous materials: asbestos, chemicals, paint tins full of liquid, gas cylinders, clinical/medical waste, and some electronics with special disposal rules. Message us if you’re unsure.
How far in advance should I book?
Standard bookings open from 3 days ahead. Need it sooner? Tick urgent to unlock earlier dates. Later dates stay available either way. A $50 callout only applies if your date is inside the short-notice window — we’ll confirm if we have a slot. Weekends fill faster; big clear-outs benefit from more notice.
What is the urgent callout fee?
A $50 callout fee applies when your collection date is inside the normal 3-day lead time (today plus the next 2 days). Turning on urgent doesn’t lock you to those days — you can still pick a later date with no callout. Short-notice slots are subject to availability.
Do you recycle?
Wherever we can. Usable furniture goes to charity or reuse; metal, wood and green waste are separated for recycling when facilities allow.
Where do you collect?
Southeast Melbourne only (Victoria) — suburbs such as Dandenong, Frankston, Cranbourne, Berwick, Cheltenham, Oakleigh and nearby SE postcodes. We don’t currently operate in other Melbourne regions or other Australian states. If you’re on the edge of our area, message us and we’ll say if we can help.
Can I contact you without booking?
Yes — use the contact form for questions or quotes. You don’t need to complete a booking request.
How are online messages handled?
Bookings and enquiries are emailed to us so we can reply about your message, quote, or collection. After a booking request you may also get an automatic confirmation email to the address you provided (reference and job details). We use your details only to arrange the job.
